In part one of this two-part series, Dr. Alexandre Caron teaches you how to effectively diagnose, treat, and manage these complex cases.

This presentation includes a systematic approach to differential diagnosis, including an overview of other conditions that share the same clinical signs as partial and complete CCL ruptures.

Dr. Caron then reviews the comprehensive clinical evaluation, including ruling out other conditions, comprehensive orthopedic examination and testing for direct and indirect drawer signs, and the importance of evaluating each patient for meniscal injuries.

Finally, he discusses pre- and post-surgical analgesic protocols that include tools and techniques to facilitate recovery, as well as the research that supports the benefits of photobiomodulation (laser therapy).
