Veterinary oncologist Lisa Parshley guides you guides you through an exciting new study using gold nanoparticles and laser light to treat canine low-grade mast cell tumors (MCTs) in this webinar.

Nanoparticles can be used to passively target these tumors and, when combined with laser light and a specialized handpiece for delivery, can effectively ablate low-grade MCTs while sparing surrounding healthy tissues. She covers the results of this study and the basis for this new option for localized treatment.

Learning Objectives

  • What nanoparticles are and how they are used in oncology

  • Results from a published multicenter study using Nanotherapy to treat canine low-grade mast cell tumors

  • An introduction to how Nanotherapy is performed on low-grade MCTs

  • What to expect with treatment

  • Ideal MCTs to target for Nanotherapy
