Explore the available research on the versatile applications of PBMt and how it can improve your care and clinical results in this new webinar with Dr. João Alves.
Photobiomodulation (laser) therapy (PBMt) uses red/near-infrared light to produce a clinical effect, with attributed effects including the stimulation of tissue healing, analgesia, and reduced inflammation. In addition to these benefits, PBMt has a non-invasive nature and a lack of adverse effects, contributing to a growing interest from clinicians over the last few years.
This therapeutic modality is commonly included in rehabilitation protocols and is probably the best-known use for PBMt. In the case of patients with osteoarthritis, PBM can reduce pain scores and improve mobility scores while improving joint range of motion compared to an NSAID.
